Yeah, yeah, I know. Hurricane Ophelia is currently 115 miles east of Daytona Beach, where you all are probably presuming I am still located.
Ha. Not even! I am currently in Apex, NC, visiting. My car is parked at Jacksonville Airport, north of Daytona Beach, awaiting my return. Cross your fingers that it doesn't need swimming lessons. Cars historically don't swim well. ;-)

Better the car than you
Don't dream of returning until it is safe to do so. No matter how socially awkward it may be, missed appointments, etc. Remember the old principle on main stage of "If you go up there and you faint, it takes you plus 2 more people away from the show". Same principle for hurricanes. Best way to aid the rescue if one be needed is not to be a rescuee in the first place. Then if needed you can be alive & well to offer services afterwards.Hugs. Take CARE of yourself, for goodness sake.
